Stars of the Week

Our last post for this week is going to be about our superstars.

We don't always have superstars every week but this week three people have really stood out from the crowd.

First of all I would like to introduce to you our Literacy Superstar. This boy always works hard because he wants to do well and improve his writing. Shall I tell you who it is? Maybe I'll leave it until I've told you a little about our Numeracy Superstar. Our Numeracy Superstar of this week is someone who has already received the "Superstar of the Week" trophy. This person is Will Anderson. He has proved to be very quick with his mental maths and during Science was able to change receipes quickly in order to alter the amounts of milk and vinegar so he could make plastic.

Back to our Literacy Superstar. I should put you out of your misery by telling you the winner this week is Ethan Rackham.

Well done to both Will and Ethan. But now, drumroll please......

The SUPERSTAR OF THE WEEK is..............

wait for it

almost there

it's

Ben West.

His ideas throughout the week and constant desire to do well is an example to everyone. I do believe he has now won it twice!

And the stars this week are...

In a class full of stars, every now and again one or two children really stand out and over the past seven days that has happened once again.

Being the end of another half term it means it has been assessment time and another time for the children to show off what they have learnt. In literacy this has come in many forms, from writing about a strange object appearing on the juniors field (otherwise known as a car bonnet that Mr Davies acquired from a scrap yard) to creating their own stories based on the classic Christmas film "The Snowman". The person who really stood out while completing this, and is consequently Class RB's "Literacy Star of the Week" is Ethan Rackham. Well done Ethan, you have really been trying hard all week.

With numeracy there have been many hard workers and many people who have been getting quicker and quicker in terms of their mental mathematics. Katey Mowles is one of these children and although she can be quiet at times in class, it has been great seeing her share her knowledge with others and become a shining star. Well done Katey for being our "Numeracy Star of the Week".

There has been one person that has really shined above everyone else though. A person who, in the past, has been quiet during the whole class input even though I know they can answer the questions. A person who, due to wanting to get things perfectly right, has not always completed a large volume of work. Over the past week this person has been volunteering answer after answer, he has produced large amounts of work in all lessons and has been helpful towards his class mates. The "Superstar of the Week" goes to ...

Will Anderson
Well done Will. You get to keep the trophy for a week, keep it up
